The hatchery works to protect olive ridley turtles, and you can take your own turtle and help it swim out to sea if you make a donation.

The Mads Lange Tomb is one of the few important historical sites in Kuta. It is on Jalan Tuan Langa.


Mads Lange was a Danish explorer who lived in Kuta in 1839. When he died in 1850, he was buried in a tomb close to where he used to live.


The area is a little out of the way and near a river, but if you want to see some of Kuta's history, it is a peaceful and leafy place to go.
